If you are facing the below problem:
Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while
attempting to install it.
USB Browser Mouse
An error occurred during the installation of the device. The driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF was written for Windows 95 or later. Contact your hardware vendor. If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website and check the support section for driver software
Then first of all open start menu and then click search then go to advance search and then put this word in the name
"msmouse" and dont forget to check mark Include non-index, it will result folders and files with same name that should be something like below:
x:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\msmouse.inf_*
After that copy the folder and paste it on the desktop or where ever you want to. After that open device manager then look under unknown devices, here you will find USB Receiver, just right click on it then chose update driver >> Browse my computer for driver software >> let me pick >> have disk >> Browse >> open the folder on your desktop that has the file msmouse file >> open >> ok >> then it will show HID-compliant mouse. Just chose it and click next and if any warning pops up then click install or ok or next. Your mouse driver will be installed and the usb mouse will be ready to use.
