Realtek AC'97 audio driver provided by Microsoft not working

I downloaded the official Realtek AC 97 audio driver fro Vista Media Center. It is downloaded through Windows Update. I had kept a backup the same. But even after the installation I cannot find any audio in my system. I cannot hear any sound. I tried to remove and re-install the same and use the backup driver. It is accepted by Vista.

Simply go on Realtek website. Download the fresh drivers from there and the install it in your system. It is the only way by which you can fix the issue. It can be due to outdated or old version of driver. Remember that you have to install the original Vista drivers only. Or else it is not going to work.
