Optiarc DVD RW AD-7530B ATA Stopped Working!

I have a laptop that has come with a Optiarc DVD RW AD-7530B ATA dvd writer. I am running Windows Vista on this laptop and have installed the proper drivers for all devices which used to work fine before. But afterwards when I installed Java on the same machine, the logitech bluetooth mouse that I had been using with this laptop stopped moving. So i tried to reinstall the mouse driver but I was not able to insert the CD in the CD rom beucase it was not opening. So i shut down my laptop and used a pin to open the CD-Rom to change the CD. But after booting to the desktop, the cd rom was not recognizing the cd that I have put in and it will also not take it out when i push the button to eject the cd? Any ideas

As you have mentioned that you are using a new laptop, so you can simply try to contact the manufacturer of the laptop and ask them for some help. Normally, even after doing so many troubleshooting for the laptop and still it doesnt work then you can simply let it go to their place for a through checkup. But you can however try to check the processes in the media player that could be keeping the drive to be used. If you find any process then immediately stop it and check by inserting the disk in the dvd drive, if it is getting recognized. Have you even tried to remove the driver and checked that after a restart, is Windows able to find the device and then install its driver again? Still if nothing works, then the best option would be to take it to the service center.
