params7: i had that monitor for more than two years and it can OFFICIALLY do a 1024x768@75Hz. you need to uncheck that "Hide modes that this monitor doesn't support" thing.

When playing games, the 60hz rarely ever hurts you as there are hardly any areas made solely of bright coloured textures.

    Even Tron2 isn't bugging enough at 60hz.

When I play, I crank games the highest they can go, refresh no bar.
    For desktop it's 1152x864 @ 85hz.

No man, 563n Can't go more than 60 on 1024x768.
i have uncheecked 'hide modes it cannot support' then selected -70 HZ- and then clicked OK, and my Monitor goes all blank at pops up an OUT OF FREQUENCY error! i tried the same thing on my other secondary computer which also has the same monitor which also said the same 'out of frequency' thing!

what should i do ? get a new monitor ?

this computer has the MX4000, latest updated, the other computer has mx440 which is also updated! and i still get the out of frequency error when i select anything above 70 on both PC's!
here is what the error say's-

    OUT OF FREQUENCY
    HF: 56.5 KHZ
    VF: 75.0 HZ

    Operating Frequency
    HF: 30-54 KHZ
    VF: 50-120 HZ

maybe i'll try installing my onboard [Intel Extreme Graphics] now or maybe roll back the nvidia drivers and see if that helps.

Man its not working, tried my Intel Extreme Grpahics card on 70 hz, out of frequency, tried to roll back drivers, out of frequency, tried using latest drivers, out of frequency.
looks like you have some different monitor or my monitor isn't studioworks 563n.

563n mentions the model number on front panel near the control panel buttons.
there is no doubt that the model does a 75Hz at 1024x768. i used it at that very resolution for 2 and a half years!!!
forget that it can even do a 1280x1024 at 60Hz. if you are still unsure pick september 2001 issue of digit. i bought this monitor after reading a test done by digit in that issue.
