Assetto Corsa crashing all the time

I have just bought Assetto Corsa from Steam and have installed it properly in my computer. All my computer specs meets with the games requirement but when I am playing this racing game then every 10 minutes or so the game will crash to desktop and I end up getting an error message that ACS.exe has stopped working. All other games are working on my pc without any issues but only this game is behaving awkwardly. Does anyone else is having similar type of crashing problem?

Can you try to get into the games installation folder, something like here - Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg. After that search for a file named "vr" and open it in notepad. Here you will see a line with "[DEMO] IS_DEMO_MODE=1", simply change that to demo mode=0. Also, if you are using Nvidia graphics card then do not use the beta drivers or you will get some double vision kind of issues.

Are you having any type of mods installed in your pc? Can you try to uninstall the game via Steam and then go to the folder where it is installed and delete everything from there. After that go to the Documents folder and search for any folder named Assetto Corsa, just delete that as well and then try to re-download the game again and install it in your pc. Now try to launch it and see if it is working fine now.

Have you tried to verify the game cache and checked if that is working:

1. Completely exit Steam
2. Right-click on the shortcut which you use to launch Steam
3. Select "Run as Administrator"
4. Launch Steam again and continue to the section of this article titled "Verify integrity of game cache"
