Pacman and the Ghostly Adventures crashing on Dell 2420

I had installed Pacman and the Ghostly Adventures on Dell 2420. I bought this laptop some time go that came with Nvidia GPU. The gpu is mid range. It is capable of running various different games on low resolution. I am having a bit problem with a new game. It is not working. When I double click on the icon it launch and then crash back. There is no display the screen.

It looks the laptop is unable to give you proper output on its default settings. Somehow you will have to customize that. I am not sure about the config file of this game but you can try finding that on web. Each of this games has a config file where you can modify the games default resolution making it lower. Which might surely work.

Updating the video driver once will also help. You might be using very old version. Try to go on the official website of Nivida and get the latest drivers. Or you can check the Nvidia control panel in system tray. If there is any exclamation mark on it then it means you are having pending driver updates. Just run the update and check after that.

My friend has a similar model laptop. What I found after using it for a while that it does not work with many latest game. That is because of low graphics. I had tried to install some simulation games recently which failed to work. I had done the driver updates also. But some old game which does not really need good high end gpu works well.
