F1 2013 game crashes to desktop

So, I have installed F1 2013 game and started playing this game in my computer. But after a few minutes of play I am getting a black screen and after that immediately the game crashes to desktop. However I dont get any error messages. I have the latest graphics driver installed in my machine? Is there anyone who can tell me how to fix this issue? Thanks

This game seems to be forced at DirectX 10 version and we can find it in the config file. When I was getting black screen then I started playing the game on low settings and I was also able to exit and come back in the game without any problems. But today F1 2013 seems to be crashing randomly between the menu and races.

Many people are facing this problem and it seems that it is not a hardware problem but a software issue. This game is made by Codemasters and they should be working on a fix for sure. In the meanwhile, try to right click the game.exe file and then run it in administrator mode and then play the game on the lowest settings possible.

There was a fix mentioned to solve the crashing of the F1 2013 game. You need to go My Documents > My Games > Grid 2 > Hardware Settings and then change the hardware_settings_config for below:

<directx forcedx10="false" /> just change from false to true and see if that solves the crashing issue. Or else, as said above, you need to use the low settings and dont use custom settings at all.
