Risen 2: Dark Waters console versions delayed

As we all know that the PC version of the Risen 2: Dark Waters is already out but there is sad news for the people who are waiting for XBOX and PS3 version. They will have to wait unto the 25th May. I was also not knowing this earlier. I found this information today on some of the other sites and so I thought that it must be shared with the people over here. I know that this is very disappointing but we have got no option other than to wait till 25th May. I really wish that they will not delay it further. Let’s see if that will release it on time or not.

This is not new with them. They have done this earlier also with the first version of this game. I think that they have seen that the console version was completely messed up as compared to the PC version and that is the reason that they decide to postpone that. I am not able to understand that why the wizarbox is still selected as the console port subsequent to the first version. Sometimes I think that, if this company is not good with the console port then this will not be a bad idea to choose some other. I think that the risen is an immense license and so they ought to have the console customers as well. If they will continue with the issues like this then they are surly going to lose many of its users and they surely do not want this to happen.

Re: Risen 2: Dark Waters console versions delayed

I don’t know that if you remembered it or not but with the first release of the XBOX version for Risen 1 was very horrifying. After that the US release that we got was better than the earlier one. They must provide the same US upgrade for other regions as well. There is one reason for this that Microsoft do not permit delivery for the free DLC which is more than some defined size. This is not particularly for the Risen, it is the general rule. This is really bad to ask players of the game to pay for those minor fixes of the game. I am not a XBOX specialist but this looks like Deep Silver was not permitted to provide upgrade through other channels. If you are more concerned about the quality then delay for the game should not be a bad news for you. It does not matter that I will start playing the game a few days later but I am happy that at least I will get the best performance without any problems. I am sure that many of the users over here are agreed with me.

Re: Risen 2: Dark Waters console versions delayed

I think that if they do want to have more profit from the console version then it is important to release the game by the month of June. I am telling because if they release the game in the month of may then they will have to compete major games like Max Payne 3, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, and Sniper Elite V2. So it will be tough for them to gain more profit from the game. If I would be at your place then I would never release the game until and unless the competition is down. I know that this is not good for the users as they are eagerly waiting for the game but it will be very beneficial for the company. I am quite sure that it will be done in the same way and you will get the game release date to delay more.

Re: Risen 2: Dark Waters console versions delayed

This was in news from last many days from the rumors and this news is finally confirmed by the official sources. The console version of the Risen 2: Dark Waters is delayed again. This is done as a small compensation to the consolers with the free expansion of the Air Temple in mind that it is the task of finding the lost Temple of the Air Magic and this will offer a few of hours extra gameplay. The Risen 2: Dark Waters have Contemporaries for the PC on the list. If after doing all these also, the games comes with buggy then that is going to be of more disadvantage. I am also waiting for the same like many of the other users. So if you wish to play the Risen 2 for Xbox 360 and PS3 then you are having no other option other than to wait like many of the users (including me) are doing. There is one benefit of this thing that they will have more time to resolve bugs in the game and at the end when we get the final game, we will be having a game with the least bug. By that time, I am happy with other available games.

Re: Risen 2: Dark Waters console versions delayed

I don’t think that the game is delayed because they want time to make it bug free. Unless and until they release demo of the game, they will not get all bugs in the game. We are the people who make them aware of the bugs in the game and that get resolved after that. There is no problem that they are releasing this game a bit delayed but they should provide the demo version of the game so that we can play, test and report the issues with the game. This will be the best way to resolve more bugs in the game. I know that the first release cannot be completely bug free but with the demo release of the game, they will make the game with least bugs. Lets see if we can have the demo for the games or not.

Re: Risen 2: Dark Waters console versions delayed

There is no need to tell that demo versions will help to improve the quality of the final product that we get. Risen 2: Dark Waters is a big improvement compared to the first part. Perfection is sometimes still hard to find, because of moderate camera and all the little mistakes that even fans of the genre can hurt. Actually Risen 2 was perfect for hardcore gamers because you have to figure out everything yourself and smart to think about your moves during combat. Casual gamers will find here no fun. The biggest plus is the atmosphere that developer Piranha Bytes knows to put down. Everywhere is something going on and you feel you really a drunken, boisterous pirate. And since this game is not playable in 3D, you can just enjoy them while playing a patch up.
