Simport in The Sims 3 Showtime is forced on players

If you are not purchasing that then also the Showtime simport will be forced on you with the patch. The Simport cannot be the reason for not getting the Showtime. This is not good from the user aspects. Whats your opinion about this and how this is usefull?
