I had found one more save game files which can be used to unlock the hard mode. I hope this file can work. You just need to extract the file under My Documents\Remedy\Alanawake folder. The file attached to the post. You can download and check it. If this still does not work then there are possibilities that the files are not compatible and causing the game to crash.
