Super Mario 3D Land firmware update blocks flashcarts, improves Friends List in Nintendo 3DS

The new update for Super Mario 3D Land supposedly installs firmware update on the Nintendo 3DS which will blocks flashcarts but it improves the friends list by adding a button which will allow you to join a friends while game in progress. Apart from the piracy it is a good news for the 3DS's online functionality! Pirates may be angry out there but legal users are happy with this update.

This is really a great idea that the Nintendo is shipped firmware update on some other cartridges. It really makes some sense now. If this small update can do like this, then what would be the full update? Just imagine. However there are several additional features are added.

This is the best way, that Nintendo has found to prevent piracy and took new anti-piracy measures for the intention of to illegal flashcarts. Friends list is turning out more and better. Make sure that this is not the full firmware update. This is just a simple and small update. The new and full update includes StreetPass, friend chat applications, 3D video recording and online file sharing.

I know that there is a still a complete online update waiting. But now don’t think that you can avoid this small update anyhow. Some way or another Nintendo trying to take anti-piracy measures on their consoles. If you resist for the update, the Nintendo will try to get you to all new card-based releases.

The update is marked as mandatory. This indicates that Nintendo will push the users to compulsory download and install the update. The update is meant for those who do not have the internet access. I am not sure about it but it looks like a similar way.
