Assassins creed revelations Auto patch error

I recently bought Assassins Creed Reelations and i am not able to get it working. When I start the game from Assassins Creed Revelations.exe
An Update window Pops up and says UBISOFT AUTOPATCH on the top followed by Downloading update information and the download size of file is 0 bites and it never increases. Finally it leads to an error message saying failed to download UPDATE INFORMATION
Any help would be Greatly Appreciated.

Do you have installed any antivirus program or firewall installed on your computer? if so you have to disable the same and see whether you are able to download patch.
