Role-playing adventures are, fantasy, legends, fun and heroic stories, experienced on the living room table. They are the most interactive "board game" that you can think of and offer the possibility of countless worlds and stories for a couple of hours to be home and own it to collaborate as a heroic saga created.

Re: Suggestion/information for newcomers to roleplay (STAR WARS: The Old Republic)

It is a game in which participants pretend to be characters in a story that they themselves invent move after move, under the guidance of a Master (or "Narrator"). While the other players take turns telling what they would do if they were really a group of adventurers who must free the captive princess of the dragon, or a sheriff. A single story or "adventure", can last a few hours or a few afternoons. But the characters from the RPG are like literary protagonists of a saga, you can use them in other adventures, refining psychological traits.

In Star Wars: The Old Republic players will find themselves immersed in the world of Star Wars that is placed temporarily over three thousand years before the arrival of Darth Vader when war between the "historical" Republic and the Empire divides the galaxy. Will be given the opportunity for players to choose to play as a Jedi, a Sith, or various other classic Star Wars roles, leaving them free to determine their actions by their personal history that will also affect its path of the Force, by taking its actions and the way of "Light" or the Dark Side.

In the first case the character will appeal two lightsabers and can make use of stealth abilities, and will specialize in inflicting melee damage, a Sith Darth Maul-style short. In the second case, the wizard will use a single sword, possess special skills related to strength, such as lightning strikes and will specialize in inflicting ranged damage or heal teammates. On the other side, there was clearly described Jedi Knight.

This is an ambitious and large-scale developed by one of the best creative teams in the world, BioWare, the Baldur's Gate and Mass Effect just to mention two classics. BioWare had already grappled with the saga of George Lucas in 2003 by launching Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, considered by many one of the most beautiful games of the last decade. The Old Republic to give players the opportunity to serve in the ranks of the Galactic Republic or Sith Empire, moving between planets (one dozen) aboard their spaceship. The new trailer titled Join the Fight shows, the eight classes in the game.
