Best ATI Drivers for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Please someone help in this? I actually need best ati drivers for this game and at present I am running on a 5870 1GB. Was wondering if anyone has tested the different drivers on Skyrim. If so, which ones are best? Please suggest me some.

I'm on 11.6 and I am still experiencing slowdowns in 1st person in interiors and the strange "underwater effect" in caverns, but these issues have been reported by many people using different driver versions and nvidia cards as well.

I'm on 11.11, but from what I have read, 11.10 is the best for Skyrim. Why you would be on anything lower than 11.10 is questionable to me. I've tried 11.10 and 11.9 as well. I've been doing more testing than actually playing. The longest run so far without a crash was about 2 hours on 11.11. 11.10 is overall pretty good with all ultra (shadows high), main issue is the FPS drop in cities (whiterun...) and some minor screen tearing after turning off mouse accel. No CTDs after 4gb fix

What fantasy world do you live in? Can I move in with you? As someone who owned Nvidia cards from 4200ti to 8800GTS SLI, but bought a 5870 about 2 years ago, that is a load of BS. I hardly ever had problems with Nvidia, and they released drivers so often so there was usually a fix available when I did. ATi has the worst drivers I've ever seen, and they're updated at less than half the rate as Nvidia. To the OP: I don't think it matters much. I've tried 11.8 to 11.11 and don't see much of a difference between them.

I've still got 11.09, I heard the 11.10s were trouble at launch so I didn't upgrade. I have a 5850 and my performance, now that I'm using FXAA/8xAF with high shadows at 1920x1080 is really solid and reliable. I increased some of the shadow options and the grass distances - I haven't run FRAPS because I'm in an "as long as it feels like it never goes below 30fps I'm happy' mode, and so far so good. Ultra shadows make the game unplayable, built in AA cause’s texture layer and transparency problems, but I can avoid those problems so I don't care. Anybody with 11.11 have any new problems? I'll probably upgrade tomorrow if I don't see people with new problems.

I had to use Windowed mode (Simple Borderless Window mod) on my 5970 to smooth out framerates.

    19 x 12
    V-sync on
    16 AF
    Added tree and land shadows

It runs very smoothly at 40ish to 60. No more sudden fps loss, stuttering, even fixed the mouse speed problem. I bet tweaking LOD would give me a steady 60 but it looks and runs just fine now, without FRAPS I probably wouldn't notice the difference ). Very playable, looks amazing! Can't wait until they get the X-Fire profile out!
