Destruction Underpowered in Elder Scrolls V Skyrim

First thread. Well I am currently passed level 50, have 100 destruction, 100 one handed, and all damage related perks for both trees maxed. I have my armor enchanted so that i got +160% one handed damage and -100% magicka cost for destruction spells. Unfortunately I can kill a giant on master difficulty with my Dawnbreaker (legendary) in 3 or 4 hits, but it takes 10+ hits with incinerate/fireball to kill a giant. Am I missing something or is destruction just underpowered at this stage of the game?

It looks like that the destruction in skyrim is underpowered. But this does not take much difference. Because there are hardly any improvements.I also feel that Destruction has more ability to create maximum damages. By using the same with magic skills or spells you can get some improvements on that. The settings are really not hard for the same.
