I take for granted twice as suspectible to spells is -100% magic resistance or some such? If the penalty are able to be largely counteracted with the right type of enchants and gear, this possibly will be similar to annoying, as there's no way in hell you possibly will find enchants that double an high level mana pool. Possibly will end up with 800+ magicka and super regen. Of course as an endgame buff, once you're done using the Mage sign to level up.

The Lady or The Lord probably will have something to do with speech. The Tower, well I really don't know. It could have something to do with opening locks. Especially for people wearing lots of heavy armour. It's basically means you can move around faster, without having to sacrifice any gear.

I know what it means, and it'll be a really nice stone for Heavy Armor wearers since I wouldn't waste the two perks to get Conditioning and I'm sure others won’t want to either. My disappointment is that I thought the stead was a sign associated with The Thief, and was expecting a stealth/thief gameplay themed bonus. However, upon checking the UESP I found out that it is actually associated with The Warrior so now it makes perfect sense. I guess that'll teach me to check my facts before reacting.

I'm planning on playing a Breton Mage with Alteration's Magic Resistance. If the OP is accurate and Apprentice doubles your magicka pool AND regeneration (assuming that the regeneration bonuses have no cap) then I'm confident I've found my sign.

I thought a Breton combined with the Magic Resistance Perk, Atronach Perk and Apprentice Standing Stone would make for an interesting build, but since I'm playing an Altmer without the added magic resistance (and low Health) I don't want to chance running into an enemy Mage with the Apprentice Stone equipped. I imagine it would not end particularly well, especially if what I've read about enemy mages is true.

The ritual allows you to reanimate a corpse once a day for 60 seconds. 100% confirmed. It is higher risk granted, but I'll see how it feels if I'm taking too much damage even while using double casted Fire Shields then I'll change it. Still, it’s going to be a lot of fun to try it out! Double Magicka pool and Double regeneration sounds a hell of a lot of fun.

No most likely it will be like oblivion you use the spell it just replace the summon creature you have out. Or with the perk it will more than likely replace the first creature that was summoned. Dual Atronachs and fire destruction raining pain down on everyone. With Alteration for paralysis and shielding in case people get too close and solid Restoration for healing.

Atronach works by absorbing the % of spells magicka, not damage so it doesn't provide damage protection. "The Atronach - Bonus to magicka pool and magicka absorption but reduces magicka regeneration. (Don’t know amounts)". Same thing with the perk.

As for the Lord, it'll probably be some type of health regen with/without a weakness to fire. You basically become a troll. Who says werewolves and vampires are the only monsters you can become? Or I could be completely wrong (since these are just educated guesses), but I'd be happy with either of these being in the game as I mentioned (especially since you can try them out and use different ones for different situations).

There has been a lot of speculation that Open Lock spells are not in Skyrim. Does it seem to reason that this is true since non-thiefs could choose Tower Standing Stone and be able to unlock Expert level locks and below? If Open Lock spells are gone, this will be my blessing of choice for my warrior so I don't need to use lock pick. I really hate to leave chests unopened in dungeons, so I was going to level lock pick some and take a couple of perks, but it was really going against my pure warrior RP value. So bottom line, no Open Lock scrolls = Tower Stone blessing for me.

I hated picking within fallout, within any game really. I presently wish we had "Lock Break" as that's additional RP toward my character. This is the closest we acquire though; as a result that's what I'll take. My simply concern is if its once a day.

As a result Atronach confirmed for +50 magicka, 50% spell absorb and -50% mana regen. I consider we can take for granted that in heavy armor you will have 0% mana regen through this sign and that full warrior builds will be especially viable.

There is a spell within the conjuration magic school, which reanimates a body to your servant used for X seconds. At what time it ends, it's turned into ash and can't be reanimated another time.
