Nvidia, the transmitter uses a kind of license key. Yet for some users this transmitter is technically unnecessary. Indeed, for example those use a DLP projector or television using the HDMI 1.4 3D glasses using DLP-link transmitter without glasses or owners and the issuer of the TV. In addition the transmitter is only sold as a kit including one or two pairs of glasses, which is just as useless for them. In fact the price of the license is found very high so that a license or iZ3D TriDef costs only $ 50. This technique can also use the 3D vision with glasses and a Sun E-CRT, as then the nvidia stereo driver. Nvidia does not license activation 3DVision pure software.

While the engine source, although date, making it very very well in 3D. And elsewhere in the profile Nvidia is classified as "good". So if you have the 3D feel free to activate it because we believe it really more in the game

Portal 2 supports Nvidia's 3D Vision, but share some of its décor or white glass, 3D depth must be set to a minimum because otherwise the splitting of light surfaces is important. If for some games, it's not annoying to settle at least for Portal 2 ca is because we do not really see the difference with / without 3D. No image so as unnecessary, even in level with beautiful hills, it will not feel at all the 3D

Behind a seemingly simple and refined decor in fact hides a beautiful artwork of level designers. The graphics engine does not make tons and begins to acknowledge the weight of years, but it is very well used and embellished with light effects and physical effects of interest to create a coherent universe.

Stereoscopic 3D with Portal 2 is discrete. It adds depth, but is soon forgotten. Without being critical, the effect is small and friendly despite some strange results with the reflections in the water for example.

If you already have 3D gaming or if you plan to do, I want you to know that in many 3D games very quickly sore eyes for a simple reason. Put yourself in a window, looking at the handle of the window, then the horizon, repeat several times ... very quickly you tired eyes. This is exactly the effect you have on a lot of play because the game is in 3D but ... not the interface! So, if you look at the pointer (close) then the sets (below) you will soon have the same effect.

Portal 2 is typically one of the games that is best suited to 3D. We feel clearly that Valve has made efforts to make the puzzle more immersive with glasses on. And if there is only a sense of depth, it is beautifully rendered on the screen. What impresses most about Portal 2 is the ability to significantly adjust the depth effect without it being embarrassing. By the depth right dose, then we have really the feeling of being able to enter the screen. Add to that the game is a foolproof flow even with all the options thoroughly and you have one of the best VRP technology NVidia.

Here brings me to Portal 2. The difference is that the interface (which is limited to a viewfinder) is also in 3D. If you point a distant object, the cursor away in depth. Conversely if you look at your feet, there will be no 3D rendering. These two things make the game playable for hours in 3D. But what interest of 3D in this game?
    • If you play a little portal you know there are times when you are thrown into the air, and quite often in some chapters.
    • It is in these times where the interest is 3D.
    • If you do not activate it, it's been a little emotion, but it would almost retch with 3D.
    • I found myself hanging onto my mouse, something I have been doing for years.
    • In short, you'll understand that Portal 2 is currently the best game they love given to play in 3D but also the only one who made a "mature" in my opinion.
