What Is Survival Horror in Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D

I have not been here in these forums for a long time, but I've seen a few people asking survival horror to make a comeback in the titles of RE in the future. However, there is much disagreement and / or different ideas about what “real” definition of survival horror are here. As a result, there is nothing definitive to give Capcom in this regard, and instead, they [seem to] go out with the other suggestions, more solid and therefore creates the idea that fans of survival horror purists just want to see the same games over and over and over and did well, you get the point. This is where this issue comes into play.

Something I'd like to see Capcom try changing environment is based on their decision. Say you have three ways to go sometime in the boat in the Apocalypse: left, right and straight. Every road has a gate blocking the road using something like the small key, but only one at the time (so you have to choose a way forward and commit to it), but eventually find more clues and may decide to go through two more doors later. If you go through the left door first, the area is "normal" and you deal with the land based on the arches.

A game with a mechanical or function only partially integrate some elements that compose it cannot be classified as survival-horror, in the same way that "Resident Evil Apocalypse" can only be considered a "horror action / adventure" film and no "zombie horror." The designation of "zombie horror" in the same way, refers to films that make use of zombies as the driving force of internal and external conflicts in the context of the movies (read: philosophical implications of a threat to no one can protect against, etc), not just external / physical conflict.

You may be able to recall specific instances of when they were frightened, but an experience for the subdivision, just remember the specific times, while a well-developed survival-horror title that hold the tension and anxiety tangible everywhere. Rooms in RE1 GC each have their own character, because each offers its own flavor of uneasiness and sometimes more dangerous. The only areas I remember in RE4 are the set pieces. Just remember the areas in between.

For me, it starts with knowledge, or rather the lack thereof. Knowing too much about what is happening is not good in the field of survival horror. It is the mystery that begins to create suspense. Learn a little at a time (small journal a janitor, a note from a scientist to his family before he died) is okay, because you bits and pieces, but should never be able to put it all together to get a complete picture, because as soon as this happens, the mystery is gone. Fear of the unknown is really one of the best types of fear, because it can be present in literally anyone.

Survival horror has worked better when it was a mystery waiting to be deciphered. We have seen in the plots of Resident Evil, and the voyages of discovery of himself in Silent Hill. In all, the mystery of the narrative functions as both a literal mystery book or movie, and as much as a thriller. He presses the pace and stresses of the unknown. However, fear is probably the wrong player and misunderstood, as I said, the players and developers alike. To begin with, stress-free player, the player only fear that makes the player feels uncomfortable.
