Duke Nukem Forever: Need tools for 3DR's vision

It's been affirmed a million times previously, in tons of other threads, but I just wanted to utter this once more. GBX, you took up where 3DR left off, fixed what you could, and that's immense. Whether DNF is good or bad I have up till now to see, but one thing which can turn the game around is mod and mapping tools. Think on it, a few of the crappiest games have endured because of amazing mods to put in new content and fix things that no one liked. Hell, even being able to build up custom levels for solitary and multiplayer will keep people coming back.

I don't mind if it acquires a year or 2 to be released, but please, please assure us a few official editor or a few tools. I know this DLC is to make money back that 2K almost certainly lost, and I guess I can comprehend it (plus the single player DLC sounds well actually), but we were all the time assured an editor by 3D Realms. Randy said he was shaping this game the way 3D Realms imagined it, what superior way than to release an editor.

I totally agree. I at a standstill play Sven Coop and infrequently the Specialists, both Half Life 1 mods, and vigorously state and recommend that my friends purchase non-source Half Life 1. You don't of necessity necessitate as unlock a platform as Half Life's, where complete conversion mods occurred astonishingly frequently in the old days, but mapping tools at the very slightest would be great. People might discover work-around to make their personal game modes and stuff.

Yeah, I actually hope they improve and fix the games troubles. I am not expecting it to be fixed by our US release, but anywhere close down the line. It's at all times positive if they maintain their game with patches and pay attention to the community, because they might just listen to us regarding other things too. Plus I don't think it would be that firm to package the editor, because it previously exists and 3DR made it for people to be able to utilize.

I am so grateful that you opened such a thread and set up the correct words! I was about doing it myself! Please gearbox, make the dream come true! Let the force of the community flood into the game they has waited so long! There are expert people just waiting to obtain the right tools in their hands. By the way: Bethesda' DLCs sell even well because there are community mods which based on them. Why should anybody acquire a DLC? Because he loves the game! I did not at all acquire a DLC of a game I did not like.

This is what kept Duke3D lively. It had a few immense total alterations like Duke it out in DC, but as well immense maps. I have a few CD here from Chartbusters with hundreds of maps on it for Duke3D; boy did I take pleasure in that game. It wouldn't influence me acquiring DLC either to be frank. I want as much Duke as likely, so I would be downloading mods but at the similar time obtain the DLC too. An official thing is all the time better anyhow, in my opinion. Not unavoidably better, as there are a few quite good modders out there, but it picks up the real storyline set by the makers.
