duke nukem forever starts freezing when starting it

I have recently installed the Duke nukem forever game in my computer in which I am using windows vista. I have nvidia GeForce 8400 graphic card in my computer which gives me best graphic support for all types of game. I have installed the Duke nukem forever game in my computer but after that when I start the game at that time it starts properly and after it freezes on the main menu screen. I have try to restarting the game again but I get the same problem. Please tell me what I should do to fix this.

It sounds like it is a problem with your graphic settings in your computer. I think you have to first check whether you are getting this problem with this game only or you are getting this problem with all other games also. if you have another game in your computer then first open that game and check whether you are getting this problem with that also or not. if you are facing this problem with that also then I think you have to do some setting in the nVidia control panel.

I think you have to do these changes in your nVidia control panel setting. First of all you have to open the nVidia control panel. Now after that you have to select the Mange 3D setting and after that click on the global setting tab. Now after doing that you have to select the 3D application setting in Vertical Sync option, then you have to change the Application-controlled option from OFF in Anisotropic filtering box. You have to use same setting for the Antialiasing – Mode also. After doing that select the apply option. Now start the game again and after that your game will run perfectly.

As you have mentioned In your above post I have tried exactly same setting to fix this problem and after that when I start the game again at that time game started working perfectly. But now whenever I play the game at that time it works fine but after sometimes my game freezes for some seconds and after that it gets crashes. I have tried to fox this problem by reinstalling the game but after that also I get the same problem. If you have any solution regarding this then please let me know.

Now after that I start the game and checked whether same problem is coming or not. After updating the driver I didn’t get any problem with my game and now all the things are working properly.
