    Anti-cheat for brink

Cheating, all of us hate people who cheat its one of the main reasons people stop playing the games has the devs mentioned anything about cheat prevention? I know it’s different for pc but on Xbox not too sure about ps3 cheating isn’t handled very well so I would like to see some info about this because I am also going to purchase the same game and need to get done with the same thing. I mean I want to know whether is something like anti cheat that will restrict players from using the cheat codes.

PC is using Steam, so anti-cheat will be handled with VAC. As for console, I don't know. Cheating is much less of a problem for consoles, since they are a much more controlled medium. Really all depends on SD and Bethesda. Because cheating is handled very poorly in CoD, but in Halo, it’s very punishing, if your caught cheating. So really I am pretty sure it depends on the developers/producers, as far as consoles go I know well regarding them.

One of my friends ran a private MMORPG server, and when he caught someone cheating, he would send the person an "update packet" that would nuke their client, most people never realized it, so they couldn't get on even if they used a proxy to change their IP address. On steam, they have the option of nuking people’s accounts, along with Brink's CD key; so cheaters have to buy the game again if they want to get back on.

Admin's are the best since the influx of undetectable hacks, but if it’s like Bad Company 2 where you are unable to spec player’s point of view, it’s a problem. Pretty sure since SD is of hardcore shooter background they'll have a first person view option and integrated match recording. And if you mean something like theater mode, than you're wrong. You probably will be able to record on PC as well as spitting assuming that they kept it like in their other games

Well, assuming you are going to use that controller for Brink as well, it could be the difference between having a chance of returning fire when someone gets you from behind, and dying before you even have enough time to turn around. But then again, when I played console, I would keep my sensitivity at max for that very reason, so I might be a bit biased. No one ever caught me off guard from behind though.

Well it is being implemented a "gravity well" type technique for turning around quickly on console. If there is a guy aiming/shooting at you from behind, the game will sort of snap around real quick so you have a chance to survive. The further away he is the bigger the threat he is, so the bigger the threat he is, the faster you will spin around. This can be turned on/off as well.
