Mafia 2 running slow

hey guys, i am having some strange problem and hope you guys can help me out for sure. I bought Mafia 2 video game for my PC, installation and everything was fine. But when i started playing, game runs perfectly for few minutes and than becomes very slow. I tried restarting my system but nothing helped. Could you guys please let me some suggestion to fix it out?

Hi BRIGHID, i wish i could have helped you but you haven't posted any thing about your system configuration. i meant on which operating system you have installed this game, whats your RAM, graphic card, etc.. I too installed this game and can play comfortably on my Windows XP system, with ATI Radeon HD 3870 video card. Anyways, make sure you meed the minimum system requirement of Mafia 2 as follows:

1. Windows XP/Vista/7
2. Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz or Phenom 9600 Quad-Core processor.
3. nVidia GeForce 9800 GTX or Radeon HD 3870 graphic card
4. And 2 GB of RAM.

Am sorry for the inconvenience caused mate. I am trying to run this game on Windows 7 operating system with Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2.50GHz processor. As per the RAM, am having 4 GB but my graphics card is ATI HD4350. This is the default configuration i got at the time of purchase.

As per the above mentioned system requirements, i guess i have the problem with my Graphics card. What do you say ? Should i change my graphic card, if yes, which one to go with?

Win 7
Intel Pentium 4, 3.6 Ghz 3.59Ghz
RAM 2 GB
Geforce 6800 xt

are my system settings fine or should i upgrade something!

I think your system is not satisfying the minimum requirement of game and this might be the reason behind the games running slow. Check out the system requirement of the Mafia 2 game and install the hardware according to same.
