Wireless xbox 360 receiver issues under Windows 7

I have a desktop machine and it is been installed with Windows 7. The problem is that I have connected a wireless Xbox 360 game receiver and have installed the application that is needed but still it is not functioning or receiving well as needed. I have no idea for the thing. Also I am not able to get the issue to be sorted. Hope to get a proper solution for the same.
