Introduction:
Three years have passed since the disastrous events described in the first Dead Space. Three long years during which Isaac, the survivor of this encounter with Necromorphs, has probably done its best to erase from his memory the horrors he witnessed. But we know, the nightmares are tenacious and we try to forget, the more they seem to pursue us relentlessly. Difficult to offer a fantastic response to Dead Space and its horrific odyssey aboard the USG Ishimura. However, ready for the challenge to live out his fantasy world, Visceral Games has decided to give cover. More thrills, more weapons, more enemies. With 2 Dead Space, Isaac Clarke returns in a game atmosphere.
Engineer Isaac Clarke returns in Dead Space 2 for another blood-curdling adventure in the sequel to the critically acclaimed Dead Space. After waking from a coma on a massive space city known as "The Sprawl", the lone survivor of a horrific alien infestation finds himself confronting a catastrophic new nightmare. Battling dementia, hunted by the government, and haunted by visions of his dead girlfriend, Isaac will do whatever it takes to save himself and dominate the gruesome onslaught. With an arsenal of tools to dismember Necromorphs and new determination, an engineer will bring the terror to space.
Isaac might well be taken as the unluckiest man in the universe, for having extricated with difficulty from the bowels of the Ishimura ice, the guy will once again find themselves plunged into hell. Now with a voice and a face (even if we have not been given to explore during the presentation), the technician charm and shock this time is charged to go rehabilitate facilities mining station located on Titan, a moon of Saturn. The Sprawl, because that is the name of the facility is actually facing a few problems with various and diverse following a mysterious explosion may be caused by drilling operations, perhaps with something else. But this mission will obviously classical appearance at the fair at rotating block when at the turn of a corridor, the shadow will be seen deformed one of our dear Necromorphs ...
Distant horizon:
No more endless corridors of the Ishimura, the action takes place this time on Titan, a moon of Saturn. A mining colony, the Sprawl (the range in French), has expanded over the years into a gigantic city sealed, surrounded by empty space. It is in this context that Isaac will play again, determined to do battle with the monsters that have decimated his ship.
While a simple sequence we would have delighted Visceral seems to have worked hard for us to offer more. Starting with the environments. In skimming the first Dead Space , many players had come to feel a slight-to-fatigue strength along corridors and down on obituaries that spring behind each door. This time, with a huge city / mine to go, we are promised a great variety of scenery. While it is hard to confirm for the moment, the few scenes that we could actually see leaves presage a promising level design. What we can already say, however, is that the game's graphics clearly go to the next level compared to Dead Space . Physical objects improved, more detailed textures and dynamic lighting, barbaric terms that could easily condensed into one sentence: it's beautiful!
Dead Space 2, Broader, more organic, too, because of its wet tunnels carved into the rock and covered with more or less identifiable substances, the game already seems far more varied than its predecessor, without departing from the sticky and oppressive atmosphere that made it such a success. The decor also should play a much more important than in the past, because it is now possible to screw up a good part of the furniture and possibly use some scrap of lath to Necromorph.
Developers - while taking care to remind us that in a game of any kind is a treasure and ammunition that this was only a demonstration not to reproduce at home - are well placed to explode conscientiously windows, lamps and wall coverings in a destructive frenzy. The hall was quickly spotted debris, debris that is possible to project directly on the enemy, a result that we hope most satisfactory.
