Kasumi Stolen Memory "unable to authorize the listed dlc" error message

Hello, I have installed and played the Mass Effect 2 on my pc without any problems but just as I downloaded its new DLC called Kasumi Stolen Memory I am regularly getting an error message "unable to authorize the listed dlc" when I am trying to start the game. I have a decent config and I usually play this game on lowest settings as possible. Can anyone please tell me what should I do to avoid this problem. Thanks.

Try the below suggestions to fix your issue:
1. Run the installation of the game.
2. Then copy the giveme2 file to the mass effect 2 folder and then run that as well.
3. You again need to copy the patch to 1.01 patch to Mass Effect 2 binaries folder.
4. Afterwards, if you dont patch up to 1.01 then firework wont work, so therefore you need to do it prior.

The Kasumi Stolen Memory DLC installs the latest 1.01 patch, although if anyone had already updated the game via the standalone patch. After the game.exe updates, the files gets overwrited from any previous working file from before and hence the game refuses to start. So, to solve this issue one must copy the previous working files to another folder and then install the DLC and then copy the previous working files again in the game folder.

Well, to me it happens to be an issue but not like the DRM, lol. I suggest you to check your status whether you are online or not. If you are offline then prolly you will have to get online to play the game without any issues and other than that I cannot suggest anything. I hope that you are not using an pirated version, or are you?

How to solve Unable to authorize the listed DLC

Your firewall needs to block the following files:
1-MassEffect2.exe
2-MassEffect2Launcher.exe
3-giveme2entitlements.exe
4-unplug your internet connection

5-Add the following lines to your "hosts" file:

127.0.0.1 accounts.bioware.com
127.0.0.1 files.bioware.com
127.0.0.1 na.llnet.bioware.cdn.ea.com
127.0.0.1 gosredirector.ea.com
127.0.0.1 eame2blaze02.ea.com


host file is located on your system here:
C:\Windows\System32\crivers\etc\hosts
