Divinity II: Ego Draconis game freezes

Hello. I have a desktop machine and it is been installed with Windows 7 operating system. I have installed a game application that is Divinity II: Ego Draconis. The problem is that the application is not able to function or execute well as it freezes. I have no idea what could be the reason the application is not able to work. Please do help me out so that I may make use of the application. Thank you.

Install the compatibility tools in order to make the things to work out well. this may then help you out in sorting the issue. As if the application is not able to support the feature that of the Windows 7. So you may install the tools for Windows Xp or Vista under Windows 7 from the compatibility center. This would then use the features from the tools that is been installed.

Run the system under safe mode option. This would then help you out in order to make the things to process out well. It is essential that the application to work out in order to make the things to function as safe mode option do not have features embedded to it that would be an obstacle for the same. So do process out the feature or the function from the safe mode.
