GTA4 won't play on windows xp

Hello everyone,
I recently bought a new game GTA4 for my pc, but when i try to play this games on my computer it won't start and it returns back to the desktop. I am using my computer with operating system Windows XP and want some help regarding my problem, i don't know what to do in this situation. I have seen on the internet for the solution was unable to find some solution to remove this problem as i don't want to lose my game. Please suggest me a solution that can help me to play my game.

If you are uisng a GTA IV which needs a GeForce 8600 video card or better then that, it can help you to buid your games to work perfectly with your computer without giving any kind of problem. It meanse that the GeForce Card or more than and equal to 600 example: the GeForc 8400,8500,9400,9500 or less than 600 that can help your system to run the graphics good but in this way the game will run slow, those card GeForce 8600 and 9600 will run in medium and the cards with high GeForce 8800 and 9800 will run the game fine.

I have also came in front of a problem with GTA4 which doesn't start is because of a "bug" which is created by the rock* which disables the users to play the game, it helps to avoid playing the pirated games. You need to download "securom" for gta4 from the internet which is easily available on the net. You can download it and install it on your computer and run the GTA4 game, the game will run perfectly without any kind of problem in between.

You will not be able to play the game unless you get the perfect system requirements for the game. I would like to reccomend you to get the perfect graphic card in order to play the game.

If you are using windows sp 2 then here is the registry modification to trick the windows to think as SP3 is loaded:

You need to do some settings

1. First hit the 'Start' button then go to 'Run'
2. In that type in 'regedit'
3. After that go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then SYSTEM, and then to CurrentControlSet, then windows, from there click on "CSDVersion" and click modify, then change "0x00000200" to "0x00000300" by typing 300 in the field of 200.
4. After doing the modification close it
5. Restart your computer
6. And now you can play the GTA game perfectly.
