After installing the game, you must read the license agreement for Microsoft software. The game tries to check the disk. This procedure is called "Check the CD-ROM. It usually occurs after accepting the license agreement for Microsoft software. If you have not read the license agreement for Microsoft software after installing the game, the player can not exceed the verification procedure of the CD-ROM. The verification process of the CD-ROM ensures that you are using a legally purchased disc and not a copy. On certain computers, CD-ROM can not go beyond the verification procedure of the CD-ROM. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, point to Run, then type regedit.
    2. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
    3. Expand Software.
    4. Expand Microsoft, and Microsoft Games.
    5. Expand the game folder, then click once on the subfolder in this folder.

Change the DMA transfer mode PIO mode (Windows XP) '

    1. In Windows XP, click Start, then Control Panel.

    2. Double-click System, click the Hardware tab, then Device Manager.

If you do not see System, click Switch to Classic View in the left pane.

    3. Double-click to expand IDE ATA / ATAPI controllers, double-click Secondary IDE Channel, then click the Advanced tab.

Note If you do not see the Advanced tab, it is likely that your computer has a SCSI drive. Options DMA transfer mode is not available for SCSI drives.

    4. Under Device 0, select PIO only in the Transfer Mode box. If you have multiple CD-ROM or DVD-ROM, also select PIO only in the Transfer Mode box under Device 1.

Note If active transfer mode under Device 0 or Device 1 shall indicate Not applicable means that this device is not used. Modify only the device which contains an entry other than None. If both devices include the words not applicable, it means that your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM is on the primary IDE channel.

    5. Double-click Primary IDE Channel.

    6. Under the Advanced tab, under Device 1, select DMA if available in the Transfer Mode box.

Note Device 0 is most likely your hard drive, you should not change this setting.

    7. Click OK.

    8. Restart your computer.
