I found an answer to a problem I had with Dungeon Siege II. That was off UAC - User Account Control because the parties have access to different parts of your machine too often or something or other. See if you disconnect it starts the game, Open the Start menu, Click the user account picture, under UAC Option, turn On.

Re: Error message : Protection Stub has stopped working

I installed Age of Empires 3, for the second time now for the high-tech solution supports and I'm still getting the same error message, Protection Stub has topped working. I can not find a solution or patch to pass this message. I don't know if this is a Vista problem, a security issue, a compatibility issue, an AOE problem, or a Mcafee problem. Any solution?

To resolve this problem, set the protection parameters of performance data (DEP Data Execution Prevention). To do this, follow these steps: Click Start Click the right mouse button on a computer, then click Properties.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    • Click Advanced system settings.
    • Under the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
    • Click on the tab Privacy execution.
    • Click Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.
    • Do one of the following: If the game is listed, click to select the checkbox next to its name.
    • If the game is not listed, click Add. Locate the folder where the game is installed. Then double-click the executable file of the game
    • Click Apply.
    • Click OK.
    • Restart the computer.
