From last few months i had been using Windows Vista on my machine. Recently i had installed Counter Strike on my system. Now the problem is that when i try to play CS on my system, its font doesn't appear on my desktop screen. Many letters won't appear on the screen and i'm really getting irritated about this problem. According to me it seems to be that some files are missing on your machine. I think you uninstall the game, try to get another installation CD and then reinstall it on your machine. Or it may be that the game is not compatible with your system.

First of all you need to check out the game requirements at the back of its cover. I think the problem is not with the game, you need to install a new copy of Windows Xp on your machine rather using Windows Vista. That will surely resolve your font issue.

Check out whether you didn't change your graphic options to open GL.That might be causing the font issue on your machine. Otherwise not sure which font it uses, but if you copy Arial.ttf, Tahoma.ttf and Verdana.ttf from the fonts dir on a working Windows install you should be right.

I found why exactly this problem occurred ...
There are solutions to this problem, all of them work.
    1. goto options -> video-> select d3d or software mode.. It is the opengl mode that causes the problem. (As the fonts are not visible, u have to do this without anything on screen)
    2.Reinstall OS.

But I found a far better solution and why it happened this way..
BEST SOLUTION: Goto your graphics card settings, find something called
"Force *** compression" and turn all those in this format of..

PS. Dont forget to thank me @ sandeep.gs123@gmail.com I want to know how many I helped..
