Sound but no image while playing games on Windows Vista

I had installed Windows vista on my system. Just few days back i had installed a new video card "GeForce 9500 GT 1gig" and even had installed all required drivers, which all i needed to play games. Now the problem is that when I try to open any full screen game like Counter Strike, i can only hear the Menu sounds but can't see any picture. Even i experiences the same thing with CoD4 game. All other games seems to be working fine, except WoW which only runs fine in Windows mode. Can any body tell me that why i'm getting only sound but no image while playing games? Any one have any idea about it? Kindly help me out to resolve the above problem.

Are you sure the games actually have the sound card selected as the sound device ? ffdshow is set to play the video. Always make sure you are running the latest drivers from your soundscard manufacturer.

It might have something to do with the refresh rate of the game not being supported by your tv. Its probably that you need a better graphic card or drivers just have a look on the net for graphic card drivers or you need to upgrade to a better card.

If that doesn’t work, change the dvi output of the graphical card behind your computer to the principal one and choose Nvidia configuration to principal view. Consider looking if your graphic card completes the requirements of the game that you are playing. Also check out whether you had properly inserted the video card in your system.
