GTA IV Setup detects non compatibilty with Windows 7. How is this possible? My friends are running GTA4 flawlessly with Windows 7. I have Windows 7 RC but still i cannot install this game. Please help...

Did you try to install it in Compatibility mode? It should work that way. GTA IV needs Visual C++ redistributable packages to be installed before you can install GTA. Download Visual C++ Redistributable from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en Once it is downloaded, Install it before installing GTA IV. Then install GTA IV in Windows 2000 Compatibility Mode.

Go to GTA4 folder and change the compatibilty mode of the following files to windows 2000 : GTAIVlauncer
GTAIVbrowser
Now go to Rockstar Games Social Club folder and do the same for this file :
RGSCLauncher
You should not have any problem then...
