There are many rumor of the Playstation 3 price drop in 2009 and they are still rumor . the rumor was like PlayStation 3's price tag by $100 in April. That would put the 80GB PS3 at $300.

I think if the sony cut the price for Playstation 3 they will get a big boost , because this year PS3comming with exclusive titles like Heavy Rain, God of War 3, Uncharted 2, Wetetc
