I am playing How to get past Pokemon Pearl on ds , i am in big problem i cant get past the flint who is blocking sunyshore gym, please have any one played this game can any one tell me how to get past flint blocking sunyshore gym

The Flint wants to fight with you . to do so you have to find Volkner at the top of the lighthouse, talk with him , after that follow him to the gym and that time flint will talk to you and tell you to battle him battle him to work your way through the gym .

Here is a small walkthrough of the level :

When you arrive at Sunyshore City a Flint will show up and tell you that the Gym leader of Sunyshore, Volkner, is depressed - Flint wants you to help him.

You need to find Volkner, you can find him in the lighthouse (it's in the southeast), and go up the elevator to the top floor. You'll find Volkner, the Gym leader,Now you need to talk to him and return to the Gym. Save, restock your inventory, heal, and head to the Gym.
