command and conquer the first decade error

My cousin is a big fan of command and conquer. Since last few days whenever he is trying to play any part of the game, he get a message saying,"FATAL String Manager failed to initialized properly". Error has a Ok button, when we click on it, goes back to the game chooser part. Any suggestion for this command and conquer the first decade error ? Please help

Make sure you have done Run as administrator. Go to the Command and Conquer folder on your hard drive and right click the .exe file and select Run as Administrator.Yet sometimes it still freezes. If the CD tray opens and then closes again. Wait for the Auto Run screen without first decade and concluding picked it when the game you want to again and running as admin and run with the Right click.Also remember, if you moved the external hard drive to a different computer after the installation, it will not work.

First of go to the location folder where the command and conquer is installed and find RA2.exe/RA2MD.exe. Now right click on this file and select properties.Now go to the Security tab and give "Users" full permission by clicking edit and then clicking the full control box under allow. thats it. Now play the game. Hope the error won't come now.
