.mkv files not playing with TVersity on Xbox 360

hi,

I've got some .MKV movie files and am using TVersity to stream them but, everytime I try to do so, I get - this file is not compatible with xbox 360. I've also installed proper codecs. The videos run fine on my computer so, it cant be an issue... Does anybody know whether TVersity supports .MKV files ?

Whenever I use tversity to my xbox 360, I get some .mkv files playing without any problem, for some I need to set to reconvert to wmv and then it starts playing properly. But my computer is too slow to realtime convert. Well, some of the mkvs wont work at all, so now I'm trying gotsent to see if it can make a mp4 from the mkv that will work well perhaps.

I am also having the same problem. Some mkv movies play quite well without any issues while some don't play at all with the same Tversity. I think my Tversity transcodes some .mkv files but not all. I mean the same movie with two parts out of which one plays smoothly and another causing error.

Follow these steps......this might help -

1. Uninstall each and every codec you have installed on your system
2. Download and Install the following as suggested :

• TVersity 0.9.11.4 (Do not install the TVersity Codec Pack - uncheck the box at the end of the installation)
• FFDShow Rev.1751 (During the installation, set 2.0 Stereo Speaker - otherwise it won't work)
• Haali Media Splitter
• AC3 Filter 1.46

3. Restart your computer.
4. Start TVersity and go to the Settings tab
5. Choose Xbox 360 as Media Playback Device
6. Move to the Transcoder Settings and edit them
