Sims 3. Cant launch game from launcher or from TS3.exe.

I've read so many forums with that kind of question but what if TS3.exe exists under the name TS3.EX_ and doesn't work either? My launcher opens with no problem but when I click on the blue triangle, I keep on waiting for ever and for nothing because the game doesn't even open.

Can you try going into the game folder and running the game executable directly, instead of the separate launcher app which is what Steam is trying to do.

HI. Instead of deleting the entire sims3 file, locate the DCCache folder. Inside of it was a file called missingdeps.idx. I deleted it and my game started and updated itself upon start. It now works.
