counter strike without lan and net playable?

I want to know whether counter strike can be played without having lan or internet connectivity ( standalone) if yes then suggest version

Yes you can play any version of CS offline, for starting purpose go with the Counter Strike condition zero, it having easy,normal,and expert level missions to play.

You can play any counter strike with out lan or internet connectivity .Just go to game menu start a new game and add bots to it .

Yes ,, off course you can play CS offline by going to option Play Customize on the main screen when start Condition zero. here you can choose Maps, levels. bots, etc...
