well here are my specs firstly

Q8200 , NVIDIA geforce 9400 GT , 2 gig ram , Win XP SP3

Using VTune software for nvidia i overclocked my graphics card...have set resolution to 800x600 , anti aliasing to 4x , shader and shadows detail to medium and water detail to ultra high and model detail to high...

I have directX 9.0c... i heard there was a patch to install DX 10 on Xp... will this in any way help to improve game experience

Hey!
It is not recommended to install DX10 on Windows XP as it is not released for Windows XP. If you patch and install there won't be any performance changes and the DX will be shown as Direct X 9.0c itself. Moreover your DX version may get corrupt and you may no longer be able to play games. So its better not to take risk. And this will be a non legit method too. All the best!
