XBox 360 is not playing MP4 files

i have a XBox 360 at my home. I faced a problem when i made a system update on my XBox 360. It just stopped playing MP4 files.When i try to play this format it just says 'No videos found'. What is the problem, how can i fix this problem ?

Please help. Its much annoying .

Some of the user are having the same problem with XBox 360. But no problem we have the fix for this. just go through this steps:-

1. Go to Tools > Options > Library tab and click on the Monitor Folders button and delete the current monitored folders in Windows Media Player. Just leave the defaults.

2. Now go to Task Manager and stop the Windows Media Player Network Sharing service by killing these two processes :-

• wmpnetwk.exe
• wmpnscfg.exe

3. Now delete the entire Windows Media Player library.If you don'y how than here it is: Navigate to the following location C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player
and delete all files that end with .WMDB.

4. Now rename all of your .MP4 files to .AVI.Now go ahead and open Windows Media Player and go back to the Monitor Folders dialog. Go ahead and re-select the folders that contain the videos you want to stream to the XBox 360.

5. Once it’s done, go to the Services console again and this time right-click and choose Restart on the WMP Network Sharing service.

Thats it.. You are done !!
