Problem with xbox 360 joystick on computer

I have a joystick of Xbox 360 and I want to connect it to my computer to play with. The problem is that it is detected for 1 sec, because its dry central LED lights up green, but after then it turns off sound is felt as what the device and disable ..

So I started to download drivers and try them but without any success. I know that SP3, and my joystick is a wired USB port.

I read in forums that the Xbox 360 not working on the computer under SP3 but it functions under SP2, so I try to remove SP3 and restore SP2 but I also can not uninstall SP3. Its the real problem. Can someone would like to help me?

    Good day,

any chance it is a joystick with wire plugs above, and not the wireless controller with recharge USB cable (which does not play ...)?

I confirm that the Xbox 360 works with SP3, because I use the joystick and it works perfectly. The important thing is to install the program (before connecting the joystick) driver for Windows available on the Microsoft site.

And with the wireless receiver for Windows Xbox360 you can play with the controller wireless.

Re: Problem with xbox 360 joystick on computer

If you want to use the controller from your Xbox 360 console on your computer or if you've lost the installation CD that came with your Xbox 360 Controller for Windows, you'll have to download the software for the controller.

To install the software, follow these steps:

    1. Open the software file.

If the Setup screen does not appear automatically, click Start, click Run, type the following command in the Open box, and then click OK:
    drive_letter:setup
    2. On the Setup screen, click Install.
    3. Follow the Setup Wizard instructions to complete the installation.

After you install the Xbox 360 Controller for Windows software, connect the controller to a powered USB 2.0 port on your computer. To make sure that your computer correctly identifies the Xbox 360 Controller for Windows, see the Game Controllers item in Control Panel.
