Street Fighter IV and FX 5200

    Hello,
I know that my graphic card GeForce FX 5200 is not that worthit, but would I be able to play the upcoming game Street Fighter IV on my pc. I think that this a dual kombat game and will not require more graphic resources, so can anyone confirm me that I can play this game. Thank you

Re: Street Fighter IV and FX 5200

Here is the System Requirement for Street Fighter IV PC version game:
    • OS: Microsoft Windows XP Embedded SP2
    • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400/Pentium 4 651/Celeron D 352 (up to latest Core 2 CPUs supported by the chipset)
    • Chipset: Intel Q965 + ICH8
    • Monitor: 720p/1080p/1440p HD LCD Monitor
    • RAM: DDR2 667/800MHz (512MB/1GB, up to 4GB)
    • GPU: PCI Express x16-based graphics. Support cards include ATI RADEON X1600Pro/X1300LE or nVIDIA GeForce 7900GS/7600GS/7300GS, up to latest graphic cards (Radeon HD 3800 or Geforce 9800 series)
    • Sound: Onboard Realtek HD 7.1 channel Sound (supports add-in sound cards)
    • LAN: 10/100/1000 BASE-T
    • I/O ports: 1x JVS, 4x USB 2.0 (up to , 1x serial (max 2), 1x parallel port, 2x PS/2, 2x SATA
    • Audio inputs: AKG C535EB Stage Microphone, line-in (Surround 7.1)
    • Audio outputs: 7.1, SPDI/FX
    • Expansion Slots: 1x PCI Express x16 (used by video card), 1x PCI Express x4, 2x PCI
    • Storage: 2x 80 GB 10k RPM SATA Hard Drives
    • Media: 80 GB 10000 rpm Hard Drive

So the pc version system requirements wont be much different than these, probably an average of the specs listed but your card will probably not run this game.

I'm going to buy a new notebook soon. My only criteria is a smooth running of Street Fighter 4 at high detail.

I find it hard to tell because there aren't any recent beat them ups on the pc. The last one I can remember is Last Bronx.
K7 series AMD Athlon 650 slot A mounted on gateway jabil kadoka 4000 series motherboard, Win XP Home sp2, IE 6.00 128, 288mb pci ram, philips CD burner, 20G and 6G HDD's,

XBox 360's GPU is somewhat equivalent to a GeForce 7800 or 7900, which are equivalent to 8600 Series which are pretty cheap now. So I don't think SF4's PC version requires high-end hardware.

After all SF4's graphics engine is technically not even close to today's top-notch engines used in FPS games (Unreal Engine 3, CryEngine 2...). Also the amount of objects which are to be rendered in a typical scene is not that high.

You can buy a nice cheap GeForce 9600 GSO card and run most games on high settings.
