"So far no reference to a possible involvement of Peter Molyneux, the creator of the original game."
Electronic Arts is working on a new edition of Syndicate, real-time strategy issued in 1993 and given birth by the creative genius of Peter Molyneux. The project was entrusted to Starbreeze, software house that works with Electronic Arts since 2007 and has produced The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay and The Darkness.
The game is known by the codename of Project Redlime and is directed to the next-generation platforms PC, PlayStation 3 and XBox 360. There are no details on gameplay and the possible release date. Starbreeze is currently working on a game inspired by the series of novels about Jason Bourne, written by Robert Ludlum.
In the past, the same Molyneux expressed desire of wanting to make a remake of Syndicate. The original game was developed under Bullfrog label, while the rights to the name were still owned by Electronic Arts. Molyneux would later founded Lionhead Studios, the software house now under control of Microsoft.
For the moment we are not talking about a possible involvement in the project of Molyneux of Electronic Arts.
