Running The Sims 2 on Windows Vista

Hello everyone,

Well, I play "The Sims Triple Deluxe (The Sims 1) and when I try to install the first CD in 95% there I see the error message" Error transfer component and the installation stops abruptly.

I have 4 GB of RAM, I have Windows Vista Ultimate and I installed SP1.

Hello

You can try this:

Before installation, open Windows Explorer and right click on the installation file (setup or install) and have compatibility with Windows XP or 2000.

In short try to install in compatibility mode.

Go to http://www.thesims2.com

In the upper right corner of the page are 3 cubes that represent "Help", however over that then click on "Patches"

Download either The Sims 2 CD or The Sims 2 DVD patch depending on your media type (if you have 1 disc, it's DVD, else get the CD version)

Download the patch, run it. Once finished try the game again. If it still does not work, right-click on The Sims 2 icon and choose "Run as
Administrator", see if that helps.
