I have the same problem but when I use the options suggested the game works but certain images blink and are distorted. I noticed that there are driver updates on ATI's website but when I run them I get an error about not having the correct hardware.
The MiniDump you posted has a 0x8E error these are associated with Hardware Faults and Bad Device Drivers, the MiniDump cites the Realtek Audio Driver "RtkHDAud.sys".
Try using Driver Clean Pro and remove the Drivers and then Reinstall the Latest Versions of the Drivers from the website.
Hello,
Reinstall your chipset drivers and Realtek audio driver from your motherboard CD or from your motherboard manufacturer's website, then reboot.
To enter BIOS, keep tapping F1, F2 or Del straight after switching the computer on. It will tell you on the black screen with white text which button to press. See your motherboard manual and here for more details. If your BIOS has options for Memory Caching/Shadowing, disable them, save settings and exit to reboot into Windows.
If this doesn't fix it, use memtest to test your RAM for problems, one stick at a time.
You need to:
1. add -swtnl in the "target" in the properties of your shortcut.
ex. "C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\War3.exe" -swtnl
this changes lighting effects to be processed in software.
2. Change resolution to 1024x768x16
