Playstation 3 network error 80710723

Hi,
The problem was every time I log on PSNetwork, error occurs: 80710723 and then disconnecting
then if I succeeded, another error when I try to update COD4: 80710102 therefore no update and no online gaming why?
Please help me!

A PS3 Error 80710723 signifies a network/router error. Try going to SETTINGS > NETWORK SETTINGS > INERNET CONNECTION SETTINGS > (if wired, choose path 1. if wireless, choose path 2.)

1. WIRED CONNECTION > CUSTOM > MANUAL SETTINGS > AUTO DETECT > AUTOMATIC > DO NOT SET > MANUAL ( DNS1 : 208.67.222.222 , DNS2 : 208.67.220.220 ) > AUTO > DO NOT USE > ENABLE > X > X

2. WIRELESS > ENTER MANUALLY > ( ENTER SSID OR CONTINUE ) > ( CHOOSE SECURITY OR CONTINUE ) > CUSTOM > AUTO > DO NOT SET > MANUAL ( DNS1 : 208.67.222.222 , DNS2 : 208.67.220.220 ) > AUTO > DO NOT USE > ENABLE > X > X

Reconfigure your connection PS3 and sets an IP address from that of your PC
my PC: 192.168.0.1
my PS3: 192.168.0.2
- Then insert your MAC address of the PS3 (Settings / System Settings / System) and my PC in the setup page of your router, and I have established permanent fine.

Try doing the port forwarding i list in the pinned thread at the top, Guinness- it should help you out.

You need to have the DNS server addresses match with what is shown in the router settings. Have a look in there and make sure things are matching up. You may also want to power cycle the router after making the changes in port forwarding.

DISABLE the "Media Server Connection" under Network settings did the trick for me when I had the same problem. Works fine now

media server tries to connect with PCs in the house to sync music and such so it wont affect your ability to play the games. you can always ENABLE it at anytime

You can fix your problem in a different way, try to downloaded the latest firmware of the Router and then might your PS3 started working online. Typing the DNS servers method never worked for me. Deactivating the "Media Server Connection" under Network settings did the trick for me when I had the same problem. Works fine now.

Wow I was going nuts with this... Seriously they need to fix that, ALL my games, when requesting updates would just hang and then eventually get an error. When I switched this off it works right away! I thought it was my connection and was doing all sorts of stuff with my router... Everyone just follow that it's simple as hell but I had no clue it was the problem.

Wow! I spent a lot of time searching for an answer to this 80710723 problem. "Media Server Connection"? What the heck. Mine was enabled, but it isn't now. And, guess what? My PS3 has been downloading updates like crazy. I AM RIGHT. Thanks a bunch.
