Input not supported warning at Far Cry 2

HELP!!

I installed Far Cry 2 but I can't play it I see a (looks like a screensaver) message moving on the screen, the back ground is totaly black and the massage says Input not supported. I can hear sound so I know the game runs. WHAT TO DO??? I am a big n00b when it comes to pc's so maybe it is something really easy. I have al the requirments for the game...

Can to be more specific with your configuration? Is game working on another PC?

Try changing the video settings and video mode. install the latest directx updates. that would surely solve your problem.

Some addetional informatian:
I have a 19inch LCD widescreen, it runs by NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT .
When I change video settings to 1280 x 800pixels I get the same error, i now have it on 1440 x 900.
And it stands at 60Hz (someone else said that this sometimes is important.

I updated Nvideacard drivers, didnt help, and when i try to download directx nothing happens.... i click at the link and nothing happens

Then you'll need to check with the game support...

Hey try using a lower video resolution, that might fix your display! and do reply...

tryed all the possible resolution, only 1280x800 not because that one gives the same warning, didnt work

Hey, 800x600 is not a bad resolution at all normally, you can try that also if its supported. Also plug into other monitor and see the result.

GOOD NEWS I had the exact same problem and i managed to fix it, ok heres how it goes, if your using windows 7 launch it in compatability mode xp pack 3 and when its launching SPAM ALT ENTER and immediatly after the input not supported message comes up itll goto windowed mode, from there you can change the resolution of the game from 1200xw/e to 1440 it worked for me it should work for you
