Customized cars in TrackMania Nations Forever

Hello everyone!

I am a player of the fabulous free game: TrackMania Nations Forever and I want to install custom cars.

I have visited many forum but none managed to solve my problem.

In fact, I have used several techniques.

I download cars on tracmania car park and I placed in:

My Documents> Trackmania> Skins> Vehicles> CarCommon

if not:

My Documents> Trackmania> Skins> Vehicles> CarCommon> StadiumCar

in:

My Documents> Trackmania> Skins> Vehicles> StadiumCar

and none of them work.

I tried another method that works but other players do not see my car.

I replaced a car with my new original with the same name in C: \ Program Files \ TmNationsForever \ GameData \ Skins \ Vehicles \ StadiumCar. It worked but as I said, others do not see my car and I still have to go replace with the new car which is rather long and unpleasant.

Does anyone know the solution to my problem? Is there an alternative?

Hello to you,

for your last and incomplete solution, it seems logical for a standard car, you just replace the skin of the model base by yours personal, that is why you only see your car changed: you are alone have this skin for this particular standard model ...

Hello everyone I managed to install custom cars.

When I simply made a typo in the name of the folder then the game does not recognize. I wrote Vehicles and non Vehicles ...

For all those who want to do like me, go to the folder in My Documents Trackmania, created a folder named Vehicles, then it must set up another folder within CarCommon appointed and we need to put cars on this issue. Custom cars must not be unpacked, so the file should remain. Zip.

What gives:

My Documents> Trackmania> Vehicles> CarCommon> "your car. Zip"

ok this is it you go on trackmani ok?? and then go help and costum data then car skins and there copy ur car skin from carpark i did all 3 d cars of them XD

hey i have a problem and maybe you can help me i have downloaded a zip. for trackmania nations forever but when i opens the zip i dont know what to do i have tried to open the trackmania icons but that will just open the game
what do i do

P.S. i have downloaded the game over steam

From where you have downloaded the zip file that you are want to use. The download of the game always have the readme.txt or the instruction.txt file is there which are having the instruction of the set up the complete game so try to find the same and install the same. If you are still getting the problem then try to search in the Google. As i have search with the keyword "How to install trackmania" and got some instruction about the installation but for the security reason i cant give you the URL so search with the keyword and you will get the solution. hi i have made a thread about this before but does anyone now how to install your costum cars in trackmania for windows 7 i have done it on my old pc that is running windows xp and it worked fine but i can't get it to work in windows 7 plz help me

I have never played trackmania but Usually i have seen players downloading skins for the cars. The downloaded zip files must be placed under My documents\TrackMania United\Skins\Vehicles\Carcommon. Note: don't unzip those files.

Anyways, how did you installed the custom cars in windows XP ? Please share.

You will have to locate the CUSTOMCARS folder in the .ZIP where you have installed TrackMania Nations Forever in Windows 7 and then import the Customized cars folder in it. You can watch a tutorial video from here for same.

i put it in steam(or were you now have it)/steamapps/common/trackmania nations forever/GameData/skins/vehicles/StadiumCar

PS: that will not work with windows 7

hi friends
i tried my first guess and it works. i am using windows 7 and i think in other versions of window it will work also.you need to locate the folder i specified in your installation directory. in windows 7 64bit it is

"C:\Program Files (x86)\TmNationsForever\GameData\Skins\Vehicles\StadiumCar"

go there and you will see many zip files. cut a file you don't need(remember the exact name of the file you cut) and place your .zip file in this folder and rename it exactly the file you cut.And you are done.

Hi, I'm new.

Just bought Trackmania United via Steam and wanted to add a custom car. I downloaded one from Carparks.

When I open Tm United to play, my downloaded cars are there, I can see them. How do I set them so I can use them? It's confusing, but when I click on the car then go to play I still have my same old American car.
