what if i buy the original installs of LineAge but i use other servers to play (not the global one). does it count as i'm using the game legally or don't i?

If you play on the L2J server you violated your licence which terminate the rights to your software and your pirating it.

Second SOME servers uses a package which contains text taken from a stolen coy of the server i.e. the quest dialogs. ( and if it hadn't been taken from stolen copy of the server it still but rather recorded manually by players it still would be copyright violation )

Further more if other ISP run the server the players on the iinet server send emails to NCSoft about it.
