After trying to find a place in the sun via a conventional system monthly, RF Online has opted for "all free". Codemasters, the developer in North America and Europe, had changed its tune in an attempt to revive the machine.
Unfortunately, it appears that this was not enough for CCR, the Korean game developer. After final negotiations, Codemasters has actually lose the operating license of the game and unless a new twist, servers U.S. and European RF Online will close on 10 November.
RF Online was the first incursion by Codemasters in the world of MMO and has since been followed by other titles, especially The Lord Of The Rings Online: The Shadows of Angmar whose first expansion, Mines of Moria, must arrive very soon.
